EasyNav Privacy Policy

Effective August 16, 2026
In short: the only data we keep is the routes you choose to save (together with the email address you tie them to). Everything else is either technical server logs or basic usage analytics — we build no profiles, show no ads, and sell nothing.

This policy covers the EasyNav web apps (charts, route planner, and ocean routing) and the EasyNav iOS app (together, “EasyNav”).

What we store

What we collect automatically

What stays on your device

Preferences — selected chart layers, panel state, server URLs, and the email you typed — are kept in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device except as described above. Routes in the iOS app are stored on the device itself.

Third-party map and weather services

Charts, depth data, and weather are fetched from public services, some directly from your device — including OpenStreetMap, OpenSeaMap, the Canadian Hydrographic Service (NONNA), NOAA, and Open-Meteo. Like any web request, those services receive your IP address and the map area or forecast you requested, under their own privacy policies.

What we don’t do

Deleting your data

You can delete any saved route in the app. To have every route tied to your email removed, or for any other privacy question, contact us and we’ll take care of it. Technical logs age out automatically.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Questions or deletion requests: [email protected].
